i want to say sorry to my boyfriend and i want to deliver him a bunch of balloons says "i love you" . will he appreciate it? he is a shy guy, works in a big firm,.. and the balloons may arrive at the office, with all the office mates, and his juniors, and seniours... bosses...or would you prefer flowers?
Guys, will you appreaciate a balloon delivery?
Guys don't want flowers or balloons.
Cook him a big meal or give him a private massage.
Reply:Since he is a shy guy, I do not think he would appreciate the balloons.
Besides, everyone in the office would have a field day talking and teasing him about it....
Flowers....another no....might look sissy to most people.
Deliver them both to his house instead.
If he is not difficult to please, then something simple would be meaningful to him too. What does he like?
Is it a simple keychain as mentioned by Ginduras? lol....
Maybe a small cake with the word, ''Sorry'' on it.
Good luck :~)
Reply:i would certaily prefer flowers,to baloons, baloons a certain no no.
Or send the baloon to his house instead. outside the main doon .It dosent matter even if it is apartment.blue baloons are really good.red 1ce become light wen they expand.u personally deliver them with ur very own hands
Reply:"shy guy, works in a big firm"...
Flowers. Home.
Balloons - perhaps, but then also home.
Never. Ever. Balloons. At the office:)
Reply:That's really sweet of you. Well, I'm sure your boyfriend is a working adult so by giving him balloons isn't a very good idea. Trust me. :-|
If I were you, I wouldn't be sending him flowers too. Try sending him a box of chocolate, a neck tie, a bottle of perfume, after shave or his favourite CD. I'm sure he'll appreciate any of those more.
Reply:If I were your bf %26amp; shy, I would definitely feel uncomfortable when the ballons or flowers reached me while I'm working. Or if you insist on sending them, do it after office hours %26amp; send them to his house. Personally, I prefer something more private, like an SMS or a call.
Reply:ok
Reply:Oh man, he's going to jump out the office window the moment his office staff sees the ballons.
Reply:tats so sweeeeet...
if my gf do any of these to me, i'd be very happy
Reply:Not balloon please.
Replace with condom (blow as balloon) would be better %26amp; send in yourself.
Reply:you give a key chain is enough for me la....
Reply:hi,i wouldnt send ballons to his work,he would propally get embarased and also trying to get them in his car when he leaves work might be difficult, how about sending them to his house instead?
Reply:Perhaps you can send him a "Singing Telegram". Instead of sending a beautiful half naked girls as the norm, send hima Singing Telegram Granny.
That will definetely melt his heart and he will forgive you immediately.
But by all means, do not send him a bunch of flowers or baloon. It will surely backfire as you had mentioned that he is a shy guy and work in a big firm
James C
Reply:i think... that the balloon delivery... is fantastic!
it's very unique....
if it's your other option, which is flowers, i think, that's too common..
maybe, by delivering those balloons, he would also feel your sincerity to him that you even exerted your effort in thinking of that unique idea just to say sorry to him...
why not, add more messages on the balloon, so that he would really appreciate so much...
good luck with the balloons!! :)

Help For Floral Delivery Company Please?
I would like some help on how to deliver flowers on bikes. We have a £100 budget to work with (we already have the bikes.). Could you please give suggestions on whether we should use panniers or bags to carry the flowers. Also, could you give us general suggestions on how we could expand and advice for people who have experience in the field.
Help For Floral Delivery Company Please?
firstly start of using a basket of reasonable sixe you can also buy trailers for the back that can have a open area or closed area once you start getting a steady income rent a van you can get really good deals and so on just build up gradually to what you can afford
Reply:Before choosing the method of carriage, consider your target market, their location and the types of flowers they will order. It maybe good to limit their choices. Then think about the most suitable container that can be easily carried, protects the flowers and keeps them fresh. You do not want them to wilt on a hot day. A possibility is a specially constructed tube, may be more expensive than your budget, however this could present opportunities for display, marketing, passing cost through to the client. In regards to expansion think about who you could talk to from your local business groups and consider franchising in the future.
Reply:Will you be able to buy a pannier.Have you tried making a big basket or get a large cardboard box reinforce it %26amp; attach to bike.Flowers are big buisness I prefer flowers in a basket has they need no mucking on with. You will have to try %26amp; find out what local florists are charging %26amp; under cut them. You are going into cut throat buisness %26amp; i wish you good luck %26amp; fortune.

I need unique gift delivery ideas for my boyfriend?
Hello! I am looking for websites or companies that offer unique gifts
that can be delivered to the recipient. I want to send my boyfriend
something cool and I want it delivered to his work, but I don't want
to go with an old standard like flowers. I sent him Mrs Fields cookies
once, and he liked that, but he's trying to be more health-conscious
these days so cookies probably wouldn't fly a second time. Can you
give me some specific ideas as to creative and unique gifts that are
offered through a gift delivery service? I am not interested in most
of the "Just For Him" gift baskets that I've seen online - things like
cologne or beers of the world or anything like that, I think it would
just be too cheesy. (Plus he doesn't drink)… in short, something
more off-the-wall that would catch him by surprise, but pleasantly
surprised! He loves music - listening to it, recording it, playing it
(he plays guitar) so if there was a company or website that does
I need unique gift delivery ideas for my boyfriend?
www.pajamagram.com It's realy cool %26amp; unique!
Reply:Sorry cant really help but how about giving him something like clothing that goes with his style, and personality. Or how about a trip somewhere where there is music history or somewhere he's always dreamed of going.
Reply:Here are a few ideas that you'll both enjoy - him getting them, you creating them.
1) CafePress.com - open your own account and design things for him.
You can design graphics, or upload pictures and put them on teddy bears,(imagine a commemorative teddy bear for each special occasion?) t-shirts, mugs, posters, etc.
These are all the things you can customize:
http://www.cafepress.com/cp/customize/?v...
Incidentally, they include books and CDs, if you have the
copyright to the material.
2) Music and story-telling - go to Celestial Navigations
http://www.celestialnavigations.com
Pick up any of the CDs and send it to him. Then arrange to
spend an evening with him, with the lights turned low, or
in candlelight, listening to Geoffrey Lewis weave his tales.
A wonderful way to spark his imagination and to create a
romantic evening.
I saw them in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget years ago,
and the experience still haunts me - in a happy way.
3) Of course, there's always Amazon.com - you can get his
favorite books, music, software, videos, even toys and lots
of other things from there. Remember, they DO deliver - and
on orders of $25 or more, 2-day delivery is free.
4) Have you ever visited AllPosters.com?
Wow! You can find pictures for any passion - framed or unframed. They have some really great values when they have sales - and something interesting is always on sale. (I once got my boyfriend this poster of a wealthy man, standing next to his Rolls Royce in front of the unemployment office…20+ years later, it's still in his home.)
You may be able to get away with less than $25 including shipping.
5) You said he likes books on tape. Well, BooksOnTape delivers
http://booksontape.com
You may either buy or rent the books. Renting isn't so bad,
since you may keep the books for about a month. Then ship them back in their own container at no additional cost. Only, make sure he knows they're rented… Also, they have really good deals when they have sales.
6)You didn't mention if he likes animals? But if he does, here's a way to enjoy them without having to clean up after them - The Animal Den - http://www.animalden.com
They have all kinds of gift items with gorgeous animal pictures on them. You can order things for many breeds of many animals.
7) Campy things, and things you don't expect - drop by Classic Closeouts
http://classiccloseouts.com
They have collectibles, like Star Trek pins, or designer clothing, or household things - you never know what. Just for the fun of it.
8) Give him a Club Pogo membership
http://www.pogo.com
You can play online together, without being interrupted by ads, and you can chat while you're playing. You might (long shot) even win some money prizes. And their software doesn't mess up your computer.
9) Get him an Entertainment book for his town, or yours.
Not only will you get discounts (even movie theaters), but it can be an awful lot of fun using the book to explore your own area. Aside from restaurants, there are discounts to live theaters, concerts, amusement venues, bowling alleys, all kinds of places you didn't even know existed around you.
Oh yes, you can also get 50% off hotels and other travel discounts.
10) If you want an assortment of interesting, often unusual, and expensive items, visit the Hammacher Schlemmer catalogue.
It's such fun! And you'll usually find something within your price range.
11) Does he like puzzles? You're going to love Bits and Pieces!
They have THE most beautiful and fun jigsaw puzzles, and 3-d puzzles and other interesting curiosities. Most of them are well within your budget. In fact, you can often get several things for that price.
Oh yes, and they have a mystery puzzle, where you can win $1,000 for solving the mystery. Always a fun challenge.
12) For those times when you're feeling silly, there's Prank Place
www.PrankPlace.com
Granted, there's a lot of stuff in bad taste. Ignore those things.
They also have a lot of cute and fun things. For instance, I found a whole raft of things relating to money gags for my readers.
They have magic tricks, fake parking tickets, remote controlled mice, etc.
13) And speaking of magic…what boy doesn't love magic tricks?

Starting a delivery service?
I have been thinking about starting a delivery service for food and flowers and runs to the grocery store. I live in a small community. What are some of the pre-opening things I might need? a bond? what kind of insurance?
Starting a delivery service?
check out your state and city laws. The laws might be different from one city to the next, so you may not be able to be stationed in one city and deliver to the next.
About your company-are you making flower arrangements from fresh cut flowers? You will definately need vehicle insurance for you and any employees you may have, all under your business name.
Reply:A long time ago I wanting to deliver pizza so I talked to my auto insurance company and because I would be delivering pizza my insurance rate would go sky high. (I gave up the idea of delivering pizza) :-)

Are postal carriers allowed to walk across my lawn and through my flower beds when delivering my mail?
We have a paved walkway from the street to my front door, yet he ignores the paved walkway and instead walks across our lawn and through a flower bed every single day! We have asked him politely to please respect our property and the great deal of effort we expend in order to keep our landscaping healthy and pretty. He gives us a nasty attitude and says things like "Carriers have been walking through peoples lawns for as long as there has been mail delivery". And the next day he's walking across the lawns and beds again. He will not stop. Am I being somehow unreasonable? Do I not have a right to insist he use the paved walkways that everyone else who ever visits our home uses? What would you do? I can't help but be appalled by his blatant disrespect.
Are postal carriers allowed to walk across my lawn and through my flower beds when delivering my mail?
Call the post office and report him.
Actually if you go to usps.com and tell them in email it will be reported. I had a mailman delivering at 6-7pm at night and our box is on the street. I got a nice letter back saying they can't deliver after 5pm and it stopped!!
Reply:I don't know the real answer to your question, but I agree I think it is rude. You should call your local postal station and ask about it. See if they can help out in any way. You are right he can ruin you yard and even cause a path to start there just from the wear of him walking through it everyday.
Reply:How about putting down some dog doo in the beds and see how he likes that.
Reply:that is not good, its vandilism to ur property, and i think that u should contact werever the guy/girl is working and have a talk with the manager
Reply:Tip: Set your sprinkler up where the guy's path is. If you know the time he usually shows up, plant yourelf out of sight, if possible, and crank it up full blast when he trots across your daisies.
"Oh, my! I didn't see you coming..."
Reply:I would ask him one more time and tell him that you are not trying to start trouble but you put a lot of effort into making your flowers look nice. Or may you can put stepping stones as a path to your mail box perhaps if you make it clear that you had put them there for his purposes only maybe then he will respect. If all else fails by all means report him to the supervisor. There is no reason why he needs to be disrespectful.
Reply:Call the post office and talk to his supervisor. Don't fear him tampering with your mail I'm sure he is totally aware of the consequences.
Reply:If you have a proper walkway, yes he should use it. If he is not doing as you request then talk to the postal carrier company. This is showing disrespect for your property and that is not acceptable.
Reply:Lighten up a bit. Those plants won't be permanently damaged. But yes, you are right, he is being sort of a jerk about it.
Reply:I think the walking across the grass is okay but the flower bed is a bit much. Postal workers have to walk a lot when people have their mailboxes by their front door. I am sure they prefer it when the mailbox in near the street or the neighborhood has clusters of mailboxes. Grass is meant to be walked on, you should move your mailbox and then he won't walk there. The guys who check the meters also walk through the grass.
Reply:If you dont want to hassle with his boss at the post office.
a couple of ideas. Put in a small white picket fence or a nice
waist high hedge (or even a Thick row of rose bushes ) along your property line between you and your neighbors. you might also put up a Pretty box next to the sidewalk.
Reply:Call his supervisor at the post office. Put up a fence. Move your mailbox.
Reply:It is clearly stated in the Canada Post Code of Conduct that your mail provider should be using the provided walkways and not to intrude on your personal property except to access your mailbox (which is why when you don't shovel your driveways and walkways they can deny delivering your mail). I would call the post office and tell them.
Reply:child please let him have it get a back bone that's unprofessional make a formal complaint if it dissent stop think about some poor old lady whose life my revolve around her yard work. OK be for real put him on your cam er phone for collateral and be honest with him about you actions if his does it after that then show his boss cause he could be doing more than that to people your yard is a extent ion of your home

What are some fun and different delivery ideas for Valentine's Day??
A co-worker recommended a chocolate covered giant fortune cookie, and I don't know if that's what I'm looking for but maybe something else along those lines thats different from just plain flowers or teddy bears getting delivered. Something fun!
What are some fun and different delivery ideas for Valentine's Day??
Have a teddy bear or chocolates delivered, but wear a red cap and a track suit and deliver it yourself to his place of work. Pretend you don't know him and just be a delivery girl. Go through the routine and say "Hi. Can you sign here please?... Here's your copy". If you're daring, wear an extraordinarily short skirt and a low cut top. Make your own invoice - " 1 x Teddy bear, 1 x Long Passionate Kiss (Delivery this evening)"
Finally, put at the bottom of the invoice "Our drivers cannot accept tips, but french kisses are always appreciated"
Reply:go to his door in a crotchless g string, apron, heals and and over coat. Knock on his door and when he opens it take off the trench coat and tell him your his waitress for the evening and your here to serve him. He'll never forget it.
Reply:There are several places that would be more than willing to deliver. I've found some unique idea's, that I love. The fortune cookie idea went over with ton's of raves. But he enjoyed the pantygram, and naughty pic's I sent even alot better.
I'm sure you'll find something delectible. If not, have a scavenger hunt. That was a WHOLE LOT OF FUN!!
Take care...and good luck!
Reply:Yes. A lunch date with YOU!
You pay for the lunch - perhaps on a Saturday afternoon.
Make him a card - ok, you may cheat by going to the card section of the store and get great ideas. Guys don't admit it but they never get "handmade" cards - just for them.
Now if you have any money left over (because you might get a new dress for this occasion), get him a small present - yes very small - like candy - you know those little hearts with those "sayings" on them like 'kiss me', etc.
Ask him to dress up - and take him to a nice restaurant but make sure it's a place where the two of you will be comfortable.
Now - for you - Show up wearing that spectacular dress that you look - so great, fine and awesome in.
Wear those stockings, nice jewlery, nice earrrings, and great perfume (if you can get pheromone - which has a different scent on everyone).
Do your nails and makeup - again you will look so fine!
Don't tell him where you're going - unless he's the kind that has to know.
Send him an electronic email card -
free electronic cards - www.123greetings.com - or other site.
- and write your invitation to the lunch with his special girl
as you personalize this electronic greeting card.
HE WILL REMEMBER THIS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.
You will be described as "AMAZING" and be remembered by him "and to his friends as he will brag about what you did for him for the rest of your life. His friends will be jealous if their "girls" don't do anything special.
p.s. - don't ever tell him that the idea came from online, it's just between us girls!
GOD bless us one and all, always.

Reply:well, if you have a pet and live with your lover, tie your gift (i suggest a teddy bear or roses) to your pet and set them in the room to wake them up. im sure they will think it will be adorable.

Can anyone recommend a good florist in Connecticut area to deliver flowers for a friends birthday on Saturday?
I am ordering from the UK, online, to be sent to a friend who is studying at Yale, and it's really hard to figure out which floristy is good for fresh flowers, stylish displays and delivery from the websites. I'm thinking of something like 12 red roses, a purple themed bouquet or a purple orchid in a pot and our budget is around $60. Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a good florist in Connecticut area to deliver flowers for a friends birthday on Saturday?
check out FTD.com
It's far easier to search and order online and let FTD do the searching for you....
Reply:I always use Inter flora, sadly you will not know what you get until it arrives. But you know you will always get good service in the States, after all it is the home of top service!!!

Whats a romantic thing you can send to a woman? choc. delivery takes too long, flowers are predictable...???
Well, I am only 12 years old, but this is what I gave my crush:
A red stuffed dog w/ card and money in it. A caramel stuffed dog, wit a bow in it, in the bow I wrote a poem, and in that poem there was a piece of a heart-shaped chocolate. Also, to balance everything, I attached some roses.
:) Hope I helped :) She loved her gifts, but again, I am only 12 LOL

Web sites offering Same day delivery of a birthday gift of ANY TYPE?
Or suggestions of getting a gift to someone in another state besides 1-800-flowers. Actually not flowers. and has to be under $50 bucks total!
Web sites offering Same day delivery of a birthday gift of ANY TYPE?
Amazon will send an email notifying the recipient that they have been given a gift certificate.
Reply:Amazon is great! walmart/asda all so do do same day delivery, you should check it out, its great!
Reply:I would try to contact a store in their area and see if they deliver.
You could also call a florist or FTD and see if they would be willing to pick something up to have delivered. They are going to up-charge you like crazy if they do it, but it might be worth it.
You can also send cookie bouquets or a gift basket.
Hope this helped...Good Luck!
Just thought of something else...what about internet gift certificates. I think you can get them from just about any online store, and I seem to remember paypal even has something like that. That way you could use the whole $50 towards a certificate instead of paying all the delivery charges you're going to have to pay by sending a gift. Just a thought.

Could a florist use scheduling software?
My friends and I are developing some scheduling software.
Basically, a customer could go online and schedule a flower order and delivery.
Would this work for a floriest? Why or why not?
Could a florist use scheduling software?
Probably not. I've been a floral designer for a little over 20 years and I don't think I could use this. Things change so quickly in the course of an hour even at a florist, you cannot keep things hard and fast and have to have a good level of flexibility. You might have a handful of orders in the AM and then have family come in to order family funeral work. The funeral work has to come first and the home deliveries then get taken care of afterwards. That is why it is sometimes very difficult to give customers a specific time frame for delivery because there are just too many variables. We can usually promise BY a certain time especially if it is afternoon and someone will only be at work until 3 or something along those lines. But we really cannot be held to a set schedule because of orders that continue to come in, the variability in how long certain things take to make (say comparing a quick vase, compared to a casket spray), when shipments of flowers come in, etc.....
So that is the long answer, short answer is probably not.
It's also a LOT more helpful for us if customers call us instead of ordering online. When they order online, they cannot find out directly from us what flowers we have in the store at that very minute. They might be looking at pictures that have a HUGE assortment of flowers in them and unless we have a couple of days notice (sometimes more) we simply don't have every flower in every shade in stock at all times. When we talk to a customer on the phone, we can go over what is in stock in our store, what is in season, out of season, what looks nicest, etc..... so for me personally, even though I'm a big internet user, I much prefer for customers to call us directly.
Reply:use it for when plants or flowers come in. and rotate stock. try it. online customers are great when ordering flowers from another city. can find you on line .anything that makes you more money than it cost is areal bonus.
Reply:not a new concept.

ANSWER THIS ONE! Would it matter to you if your florist used environmentally friendly vehicles for deliveries?
I am doing this survey for a class and I need to collect as many responses as possible. So....if you are ordering flowers for delivery, would it influence your decision on who to order from if a florist's vehicles were environmentally friendly (Hybrid) vs. others who were not? Why or why not? Thanks for your help!
ANSWER THIS ONE! Would it matter to you if your florist used environmentally friendly vehicles for deliveries?
No, having a hybrid car would not influence my flower buying. Price and service are what I look for. How are they planning to get those bouquets in the car? Kinda small for most arrangements?
Reply:It's the hip thing to do, but it's not practical. And who would notice or even care? Any ways enviromentalist don't want flowers killed. :-) Save the Flowers!!!! haha Peace Out!
Reply:i do not mind, it kind of blend in as enviromently friendly vehicle indirectly means more flowers...at least u got ur flowers delivered
Reply:Yes, i would even be willing to pay a little more for enviromentally friendly cars.
Reply:It wouldn't influence my decision (only prices would), but it would be pretty darn cool if the vehicle was enviornmental-friendly. If you don't share, you care!
Reply:I wouldn't even think to check if they did, so no.
Reply:Not at all. What are you buying? Flowers. Now if I were looking for a service to make deliveries for me that might be a different matter. In that you are buying a service. Transportation - deliveries.
Reply:No. It's all about quality of flowers, customer service and most importantly the price.
Reply:if it's the same price, i might
but you need to make sure people know about it first for them to decide
it's kinda like HongkongBank, they have this program to save dolphins...
it has no connection to banking whatsoever, but it might make existing customers happier banking with them or interest others
but it all boils down to service
Reply:No, not really. The flower quality would be the primary factor.
It would not even reguster in my mind. Even if the advertised it.
If it would save on the delivery charges then yes.
Reply:Well, considering I don't care if *I* drive an environmentally friendly vehicle (as long as it meets gov't standards), no, it wouldn't matter to me.

Low carbon flowers for delivery in Devon.?
I want to send my mum some flowers but I want low mileage - I'd prefer seasonal, locally-grown (certainly UK). She's in south Devon - internet useless all online florists seem to source 'exotic' (high-carbon and air mileage). Is there a website catering to this? Any ideas?
Low carbon flowers for delivery in Devon.?
Your best bet may be at the Village Market, and try to pay the vednor to deliver his locally-grown wares himself. Also keeps the money in the local economy there.

Reply:Flowers are usually in the cargo of commerical flights, which fly anyway.
Just buy your mom some nice flowers. sheesh.

Good online gift delivery places ?
Besides FTD, Pro Flowers and 1-800-Flowers, does anyone know some good places online to order gifts to be delivered? I'd love to find something slightly unusual, but any suggestions will be appreciated. A friend is having surgery today and I want to send something.
Good online gift delivery places ?
it can be a little pricey, but something thats different is mms.com... you can personalize up to 2 colors of plain mms with what you want to say on them. they have all sorts of gift baskets, or you can just get bags of them.
Reply:Harry and David. http://www.harryanddavid.com
Reply:Wine Country Gift Baskets (especially if the recipient lives in a state where alcohol deliveries are allowed).

Reply:If you're looking for a unique online gift place, you could check out soapcard.com. They make romantic heart shaped soaps with your photo and personalized message embedded inside. I got one for my boyfriend and he loved it. You can write all kinds of funny stuff. My boyfriend thought it was super cute, .the "Think of me when you're feeling dirty" soap was the one he loved the most.
Reply:A hamper from Fortnum %26amp; Mason www.fortnumandmason.co.uk has to be the ultimate in foody heaven. They delivery anywhere in the world but if you're in the US you'll need to divert to the US site.
I send them to absent friends %26amp; family for Christmas and they're always appreciated.

Who has received a Valentine's Day delivery already?
I just got my flowers, teddy bear, and balloons at work from my husband! This is our 5th Valentine's Day together and it's the first time he's actually SENT me something, so it was a very big suprise!
Anyone else gotten a delivery yet?
Happy Valentines Day to all! I hope everyone has a great one!

me....gorgeous roses hand delivered by hubby
dinner last night too....we met on 2-13-04
Reply:Seemed almost all the girls at work got their's yesterday, which I thought was a bit strange, but it was a nice surprise, and that way they had the flowers longer to look at (we are closed on the weekends and early on Fridays). So far I haven't got anything! :( . . .Although every year my boyfriend gets SOMETHING delivered, so I guess I'd be surprised otherwise.

Sympathy flower arrangements?
a friend of mine just lost her son and we are going to the wake tommorow....he was creamated...i am sending flowers to the church and i was wondering who i am supposed to address it to...do i put his name on the delivery or the mothers....also i decided on red and white carnations on a stand...do you think there better in a pot?
Sympathy flower arrangements?
I would put to the family of...and his name. But as for flowers or potted flowers, I'd recommend a dish garden. Its all live green plants. Some florists put cuts mums in it to give it color and usually bow. I like this better than the cut floral arrangement for sympathy because the dish garden will live on and on just like you want the departed's memory to live on and on. But if you have your heart set on red and white carnations, I dont think thats a bad idea either. Good luck with the decision and please tell your friend sorry for her loss.
Reply:As a florist I recommend writing his name on the card and then c/o or care of and then his mother's name. That way the funeral home get's it to the correct wake. Oh and on the pot, just a tip if the florist where to add water to the pot to keep the flowers longer the funeral home would probably pour it out. Most don't like the water to spill on the carpet.
Reply:Having been on the receiving end of this, the flowers are all beautiful. But the live plants live on and they are wonderful remembrances. But to answer your question, on a stand with the carnations and you put the mother's name on the delivery.
Reply:You can either put his name or "To the family of [his name]" or to his mother. All will be appreciated. When my son died suddenly, we received flowers and cards all ways. What will matter to her is that you remembered.
As to stand or pot, either will be just fine. The florist will put those on a stand in oasis so they will stay fresh.
Please be sure to remember her later as well, and let her talk about her son (don't avoid his name). Every time someone tells her a story about him or lets her talk about him, it gives her back a piece of him. If you want to email me privately, I'll send you my son's web page address and you can look at some of the things his friends said about him. Those young people will never know how very much their comments and stories helped me.
One more thing, please give her a hug from one mother who lost her son to another who lost her son. Please assure her that even though it will always hurt, she will learn to live around the pain and have a full life again, not now, not tomorrow, but it will happen, piece by piece.

Do women like unexpected flower deliveries???
she couldnt be with me for awhile.. due to race and religion differences.. but we care about each other a lot.. she hasnt contact me for a few days now..
Do women like unexpected flower deliveries???
yes yes yes!!!!!
Reply:If you both care about each other, then why hasnt she contacted you? Sometimes if we love someone we have to learn to make sacrafices. Love isnt always about being together, sometimes we have to learn to let go, even if it hurts, in order for the other person to be happy. For your own good and for the sake of your heart and emotional well being i'd say let her go. Its better to have one big strike, then various little ones along the way.
Good luck to you dude

It depends where you live. I know that if you live in an apartment complex, they will leave a note on your door, but probably leave the package in the main apt office.

Do mental health hospitals allow patients to receive flowers?
a close friend of mine was admitted to a mental health hospital for attempted suicide and drug addiction and i was wondering if anyone knew if they were allowed to have flower deliveries or if the wire on the flowers would pose a threat and they do not allow it. i really want to do something to show her that shes not alone and someone is thinking of her .
Do mental health hospitals allow patients to receive flowers?
A teddy bear with a card is a nicer touch and they shouldn't have an issue with that. I know sometimes they ban flowers because patients will eat them to try and poison themselves.
Reply:As long as the flowers don't have anything sharp, such as glass, I think it'll be ok. Check with the hospital if you really want to know for sure.
Reply:yes they do.
Reply:Flowers are good. Cards are also appreciated, as are phone calls. If you live close enough, most places have visiting hours, and that's the best.
People in mental health facilities deeply appreciate being remembered by their friends. It helps in their healing, so go for it.
Reply:It depends on what the mental hospital's policy is. I've been in 2 and one allowed flowers and the other one did not.
Reply:It all depends on the hospital, some are more strict than others.. just call them and ask.
Reply:Yes, I've done it before....unless the place has special restrictions. (she might be on suicide watch in a special place where she can't have them)All you have to do is call the hospital and ask. But I'm pretty sure they do and I'm pretty sure your friend would appreciate them. Make them some bright and cheery flowers tho...not the sympathy kind. Maybe one of those "tree " type flowers..that they can plant after they get home. They look kind of like palm trees..but aren't. Even a fruit tree would be nice...esp if it had fruit on it. That would be different anyway. It's considerate of you to do that. Hope she gets better.
Reply:i would check with the individual hospital. each one probably has different rules.
Reply:ive been in the psych ward... and always get flowers..... but i would assume it would be different for every hospital... and for every patient... depends on the degree of the illness.
would encourage you to do it thought!!! its always nice to know that someone is thinking of you.... am sure the staff at the hospital could work something out if it was to pose as a problem :)

Science-related job for graduating high school senior in Connecticut?
I am looking for a spring/summer job, but I don't want a standard high school gig (e.g. waitress, cashier, etc.) I am interested in pursuing science and/or medicine in the future. Can you think of anything I could do?
I already thought about volunteering in a hospital, but from what I have heard, it is just pillow-fluffing and flower delivery. I want something more intellectually stimulating, and preferably with a salary. Any ideas are appreciated!
Science-related job for graduating high school senior in Connecticut?
Sorry but you'll pretty much have to settle for menial kind of jobs. You don't have the education to do much more yet.

What is the best way to advertise my online store on the web?
Build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:
http://www.avivadirectory.com/cgi-bin/af...
http://www.kahmer.com
http://www.joeant.com
The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank
with Yahoo / Google / MSN.
Also work on your meta tags. Here is an
article on how they work: http://www.richkahmer.com/meta-tags.html

Good Luck!
Reply:This of course depends on your budget. Yahoo will list you local business for free.
The best way to get links back to you, and yes this does take some time, is to post to blogs and make yourself known as a knowledgeable person. Maybe you can find blogs about wedding ideas, flower arranging etc... be sure and use your knowledge to advise, do not just post "this is a nice blog please visit my site" because most bloggers can delete you and will if you don't contribute something. Not to mention will send you the worst of "vibes".
You can "pay for clicks" , works for some not others.. try Google first they don't hold your money. Yahoo for instance takes money out of your bank account without notice, and they always have some of your money they haven't spent, like the IRS does. Google also has a new free checkout program.
Hiring a pro can be expensive, but if you can afford it I'd check with the Better Business Burea before I hired anyone to see if they have complaints filed, better yet get a member. I can't advise whether or not you need one because I have not seen your site.
The most important and most forgotten thing about having a web site is to make them informative and interesting, people will buy from you if they see you have knowledge and a passion for what you do. I have had my web site almost 10 years and it sticks in top rankings because people visit it to learn and pass the link on.

One of our companies specialities is search engine optimisation. The person who said build inbound links is right on the money - that is a major factor. However, having said that, it can take a while for the benefit of inbound links to be passed on- particularly by Google. They also like things to be a bit natural. If go crazy contacting people and get a 100 links in one week, you won't get full benefit as they like the process to look natural.
There are other things you can do as well. In my business, we offer a twelve month managed search engine marketing and optimisation campaign, whereby we basically act as your agent for twelve months and in conjunction with you market your site on the web. This includes organic search engine optimisation, useabilty and effectiveness assessment of your site, copywriting, and even graphics and whether your site is well designed. What is included will very from client to client. Do you already have a site? If so, I can prepare a free proposal based on your site, giving you some general ideas of what we can do and a quote. If you don't have a site yet, we can give you a quote on building it with effective marketing in mind as well as a 12 month marketing programme.

Why do so many people use wire services when ordering flowers?
This is Randall head designer with The Flower Shop located in Charlottesville, VA. A full service florist theflowershopvirginia.com why are people using wire services when ordering flowers for delivery?
Why do so many people use wire services when ordering flowers?
The nearest florist to me is 27 miles away (45 minute drive, $7 for gas), open 6 days a week from 8 AM to 7 PM. My phone and computer are mere inches away and open 24/7. My aunt has flower allergy problems and can't get near flowers, but she faithfully wired bouquets to grandmama for every major holiday.
Then...there are the "floral challenged," who have no sense of taste, style, or anything...the kind of person who wouldn't know the difference between a burger at McDpnalds vs. a burger at TGIF's.
Examples of arrangements may not always be available at a florists, but a pretty picture is always available online.
Reply:Flowers by wire may be a mysterious term to some, but it's the most popular way to send flowers across the country or around the world, with same day delivery possible to more than 90% of people living and working in the United States and Canada, as well as service to more than 100 other countries. The name "flowers by wire" is admittedly old-fashioned. Still, the quality and convenience are cutting edge. Interestingly enough, like most great ideas, it all started in a very low-tech, high-touch way.
Flowers by wire delivery dates back more than a century. When someone wanted to send flowers to a loved one in another city, a hometown flower shop would help by contacting a trusted florist in the distant town. Many flower shops were handed down from generation to generation, and florist families had a natural network of hardworking associates they'd come to know through the years. The distant florist could deliver the flowers to the recipient quite easily. Unfortunately, this network of fellow florists was informal, and communication was cumbersome. In many cases, mail or telegraph messages had to be used to relay an order from one florist to another. Fortunately, communications improved, and florists strengthened their associations through industry groups and trade associations. Thanks to these groups, what began as an informal cooperative effort among a handful of local florists quickly became highly organized networks of many thousands of flower shops worldwide.
One such organization was Florists Telegraph Delivery, founded by fifteen forward-thinking florists in 1910. The organization grew rapidly, but its name, and the telegraph, soon became obsolete. As technology evolved, florists migrated to the telephone as a much more efficient way of exchanging orders. The association was renamed FTD, and several other flowers by wire groups took shape. Today, the best known are FTD, Teleflora, and Interflora. Each includes more than 10,000 florist members, who meet strict quality standards and adhere to professional guidelines. It's these florists that make flowers by wire possible.
Of course, flowers by wire technology has continued to improve, too. Today, the vast majority of flowers by wire orders are transferred between florists on proprietary data networks to ensure the speed, accuracy, and security of transmission. Ties among the larger and better florists have only strengthened, because they regularly fill floral orders for each other, monitor results, and maintain close professional relationships. So, the fundamental concept remains -- fresh flower arrangements individually designed and locally delivered by independent florists all working together to help their customers.
No wonder flowers continue to be one of the most convenient gift options available. Whether you're sending flowers around the world or around the block, a professional florist can handle everything. And, you can easily shop for flowers online. So, next time you want to say "thanks," "happy birthday," "get well soon," or "thinking of you," just visit your favorite flower shop. No matter what the occasion or delivery destination, a quality florist can help. Most guarantee your satisfaction. And, while they may not have a clue how to use a telegraph, they can easily send flowers by wire almost anywhere just for you.

Can I use Canadian peat moss to stop weeds in flower beds?
I don't want to use mulch because it's more expensive and I don't want to pay for delivery cost either. Canadian peat moss is much cheaper and I can bring it home myself with a car.
Can I use Canadian peat moss to stop weeds in flower beds?
There are at least two significant problems with the use of peat moss as a mulch.
1) It's so fine and light weight that it will likely blow away in any kind of wind.
2) Peat moss, when it drys out, is very difficult to wet-out again. In its dry state, it sheds water. This will make it very difficult for your plant's roots to receive proper watering.
Reply:Below is a link with lots of info about Canadian peat moss and it's many uses. I've always thought of peat moss as a soil additive, so I'm not sure about using it as a mulch.

How fast do I have to be paid, if Im a private contractor, and I quit my job?
I work as a floral contractor for Costco, if I quit my job how quickly do they have to pay me for services/hours worked? Also I don't get paid by the hours per-say, but I sign off on the product, "my flower delivery invoices," and I get 10% of everything I've sold. Does that make a difference?

If you left without notice;-{ you may have to sue for it.
In other words, it's going to be a wash-out.
Reply:They have to pay you for your services performed. If they didn't like you or services, then they have the option to not use yoou again. I am not real sure but I think they have something like 24 hours or 2 days if you demand it and until the next scheduled pay period if you wait for it. I have quit jobs before and demanded it on the spot. Didn't make many friends on that one but wan't trying to. Got my money after a little screaming.

What is it like to be an undertaker for profession?
I had a job as a flower delivery. I was send to a funeral home, to deliver flowers. I asked them where I could leave the flowers, and they told me to put it in the cooler and pointed to some big metal doors. I was so scared to find dead bodies in there that I left the flowers in the hall way and toke off. I still can hear them laugh at me.
What is it like to be an undertaker for profession?
It's a chosen profession like anything else. Some are cut out for it and some aren't. I feel so sorry for you that they pulled that cruel joke on you. We would never do that to an outsider. We all had a sense of humor (you have to), but we were also very compassionate, hard working people. It wasn't originally my chosen field, and my parents thought I was crazy, but I've never regretted doing it for 17 yrs. At first it was 'fear of the unknown', but after adjusting, it was an amazing profession. Next time you go (preferably to another funeral home) ;) ask for a tour. It's much better to be familiar with one before you actually need one. They won't subject you to 'creepy' things.
Downside...making funeral arrangements for babies and children :(
Reply:You would get used to it just as they did most likely. I did know a guy who got out of the business because it got to him after a number of years though.
Reply:Well, there is the midnight shift, the long hours, darkness, weird noises, back breaking shoveling, the smell, ghosts, restless spirits, sleepless days, and the worst part-the ones that wake up. Apart from that, the pay is good, they give you the uniforms (black suits) we have a nice big ride with a lot of space for speakers, we get free flowers for our significant others, and free shoes.

I am openning a floral website, anybody knows where to get pictures of flowers?
I want to open a flowers delivery website, we don't do flowers, its just a website that give orders to florists, and I need a lot of pictures for flowers, and I don't know where to get them. I want them to be different then other websites. If anyone knows, help!

What is the name of the light purple roses without thorns, and where can I buy them online?
I think there is a set of roses called "silver dusts" that are light purple and have no throns, but I am not sure of the name. Plus, I'd like to know of a flower delivery service online where I can purcjhase them and have them delivered.
I saw them in the movie "Bed of Roses" with Christian Slater.
10 points if you can tell me where I can order them to have them delivered.

They're called "Sterling Silver" roses. (That was a great movie, wasn't it?)
I'm really not sure those would be the type of flowers you could buy online easily - you'd probably have better luck calling your local florist and having them special order you some. Specifically, you could try a florist that specializes in doing special events and weddings. (One that is used to being asked to provide unusual flowers!)
A girlfriend of mine wanted some of those for her bridal bouquet, like BAD... and although she did eventually find a florist who could get her some, they were so hideously expensive, she could only afford to have a single one of them in the center of her bouquet.
So anyway, bottom line - probably won't be easy to find, definitely won't be cheap, but good luck, it will make an unforgettable gift!

Is it ok to send flowers to your valentine by the door by the delivery man?
If you were gonna take a girl out on valentine's day and she also lives far from you, would you send her roses by delivery and just give her chocolates in person or hand her roses and chocolates in person. I might be busy that day so I donno.
Is it ok to send flowers to your valentine by the door by the delivery man?
Yeah, you're busy so why not. She'll know you care though it won't be near as nice as you taking a few minutes out of your day to do this in person.
Reply:Most women would prefer a living plant, rather than cut flowers, because they die. I would buy her a rose bush, Home Depot sells them pretty cheap, include a note saying something like "Watch our Love grow" She could plant it outside her window and think of you everytime she sees it.
Reply:well i think that you should make time to see this girl if she means anything to you at all. and yea i would deffently give her them in person. good luck

Question about flower deliveries?
My fiancee is student teaching at a high school right now. I wanna have flowers delivered to her on Valentine's Day, but I know that schools can be strict when it comes to deliveries for security reasons. Would it be tasteful for me to send these flowers to her (have them dropped off at the office and then they call her to come get them) or should I just wait until she gets home to give them to her?
Question about flower deliveries?
you are sweet, why dont you just take them yourself.. be very early get there before she comes and there you are standing holding the flowers, she will melt
Reply:If you send them to the school they will call her down and all the folks in the office and anyone coming in will see the flowers (roses?) Then not only she, but all the folks she works with will also know what a wonderful thoughtful man you are! I would love it!!
Reply:Wait until she comes home if you think it would be a problem.
Reply:You can always call the school and ask what the policy is on flower deliveries, I doubt you'd have a problem.

How should I deal with dishonest online customers ?
t's only been months since I put up my cut flower delivery business. I made some modest profits on it. But lately, a number of customers claimed they didn't receive their ordered goods .But my records show the proper receipts they signed for the delivery. It's dishonesty, plain and simple. They contested the delivery from their credit card company and subsequently cancel all payments towards my account.
How should I deal with this form of dishonest act?
How should I deal with dishonest online customers ?
Are you responding to the disputes and are they through the credit card processor, directly? if you're dealing with a third party, that makes things tough.
if you're dealing with the credit card processor directly, find out what they require to secure a transaction from being reversed and make sure you have it for every sale. I'm also not above lying when dealing with liars. I handled disputes for a small business, and what the bank requested as proof, the bank GOT- whether or not we actually had it.
Most people who are lying to start out with won't fight the dispute further if they lose. After all, they know they are in the wrong.
Reply:sue them. if they signed for them. then you would win.
Reply:I think...for Every action there should be equal and opposite reaction....U better convey them in this way

How much are you supposed to tip a floral delivery agent? What if you don't even want the flowers?
I recently had this happen to me. I was being stalked and I did not want to accept flowers from some creepy weirdo. But I appreciate customer service and I did not think it was fair for the delivery guy not to be tipped.. and yet I wasn't sure whether to tip at all? Help..
How much are you supposed to tip a floral delivery agent? What if you don't even want the flowers?
Since you did not request the service, you are not required to tip. The actual patron tips. And it is perfectly acceptable to refuse delivery of the flowers, it will hopefully get the message across a lot quicker.
Reply:you tip 10% and ask him to return them as refused. think of the 10% as a message service
Reply:I would think in this situation, a tip would not be expected. If it is a service you had specifically asked for, then a tip may be appropriate. Since you were not the one ordering the flowers any tip should be the responsibility of the ordering party.
Just FYI- I've never tipped a flower delivery person, UPS driver, etc.
Reply:giving a tip is your choice...
they are paid to deliver flowers anyways...
Reply:Good services today are very much taken for granted. Tipping the flower guy is alright. $1 or 2 Dollars is fair and not enough people do it. I also tip my grocery bagger and anyone else that provides excellent service for me. Service jobs in general get paid miserable but they are SO important to have.
I give my mailman $10 for xmas
I allways prefer giving someone in the service industry before handing it to some bum on the street

I need help with Mothers day flowers?
I want to order my mum a really nice bouquet of flowers for mothers day. I've looked at a couple of well known flower delivery sevices but they all have really traditional pink flowers and my mum hates pink, and isn't keen on traditional.
Any advice on what flowers work well together and are modern in case i have to make my own bouquet?
If anyone knows where i can find some flowers that are a bit different from the norm online i would greatly appreciate it!
I need help with Mothers day flowers?
M%26amp;S (Marks and Spencer) have some lovely contemporary bouquets online for Mothers Day. :-)
Reply:Most high street florists do Interflora, or similar delivery service. Go into one, preferably your local one, and talk to them about it. They'll advise you on colour choice and what's available. This way, your mum gets what YOU want her to have, not what SOMEONE ELSE thinks she wants to have.
I know you want to do it online, but I think you'll be better off talking to somebody...that personal touch can make all the difference. Your mum is unique, her bouquet should be too
hope this helps xx
Reply:My mama used to love it when we picked her daffodils..
Reply:One year I got my mother a rose bush for Mother's Day- Blaze, which is a very vibrant red.
As for what flowers work well together- well, that depends on your tastes and what kind of look you're trying for. A few times I've made bouquets from wisteria and a few others that grew wild where I lived.
Good luck!

Is there a wholesale flower outlet in Atlanta that will sell to individuals instead of just florists?
Need to do my own flowers for my May wedding and looking to order online but would be less nervous about buying something I could actually go and see and bring home with me to avoid possible delivery or quality issues.
Is there a wholesale flower outlet in Atlanta that will sell to individuals instead of just florists?
If you are doing a wedding that requires many flowers I think your best bet would be to call the local wholesaler and talk with them. It doesn't hurt to ask.

My good freind will open her flower shop next month in Panabo, I want to help her find costumers , pls help me
her flower shop will include flower arrangements and possibly, free delivery later on. she is a good flower arranger that is why she wants to venture on that skills.

Help her advertise, tell everyone you meet that there is a really great flower shop opening soon and the flowers are the best quality you have ever seen at a very good price.
Maybe she could have a special offer like buy some flowers and get a free card, or buy 9 flowers and get another free.
Write an article about your friend and how great her flower arranging skills are, "she arranges flowers like an artist paints a canvas". send the article to a local newspaper, they are always looking for little stories.
There are many ways you can help her, by asking this question you have helped her because everyone that reads this will know that there is a new flower store opening in Panabo!

Managers: What is wrong with me prohibiting flower and candy deliveries to my employees?
Did I do something wrong? This is a place of business and not a social gathering. My boss has backed me up 100%. We were inundated today with stupid V-Day flower and candy deliveries to employees and quite frankly my boss and I are sick of it. I wrote the prohibition memo and both my boss and I signed it and it has been posted. Employees are kind of upset but I don't care!!! This is a business. Do your social crap somewhere else. Not on my time.
Managers: What is wrong with me prohibiting flower and candy deliveries to my employees?
You haven't had a girlfriend since the millenium, have you?
Table ready for "bitter", party of one.....
Reply:You guys are pathetic. Its only 1 day a year.
Get over it, its not like your losing hundreds of dollars because of it. It makes the work environment much better and a good palce to be. If you piss off your workers they wont work as well. You may think its a bad thing but its actually a good thing. Happy workers = money. Mad workers = loss of money.
Reply:what type of business?
Reply:eww, u suck....its just 1 day, just because you dont have a valentine doesnt mean you need to ruin everyone else's day.
Reply:How would you like to work for you?
Also, you should leave your personal problems at home. We know that you are steamed because you have no social life or Valentine of your own. I bet that you got ZERO flowers or candy.
Reply:I am sorry i dont like Valentines day either and i get mad when i see someone else getting something. BUT if my boss did that i would quit only because some people that is the only way they get there gifts because if they are at work all day then they can not get it at home because noone is there. My boyfriend is in the military and he is not gone now but if he was to be overseas and my boss did that i would have to tell him off only because my husband or boyfriend is fighting over there for u to put a mean azz sign like that up!!!
Reply:kind of kills the self motivation around work. If you don't have to deliver the flowers to the office and you don't have to answer the door then it is not hurting you. If in fact you are being put out by this then state the reason don't just say no
Reply:you can't really control what someone outside your company sends to your employees, can you? unless next year you plan on hiring a security guard to stand at the door and send away all the flowers. then the senders will prolly be charged despite the fact the flowers didn't reach the recipient, and they'll be peeved. not that you care, but if it destroys your 'ees morale, you pretty much suck as a boss.
Reply:wow you're a dick. Valentine's is one day a year, seriously why do you have to act that way.
Reply:gee...you must be single and have been for a long time...you bitter old koot!!!...... ;0)...really it depends on the business.....hey!! Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
Reply:Don't do that. Then you will not only have to ban deliveries on V-Day but every other day as well. What if some people have their shipments sent to their work address? Is that so wrong?? Have you no sympathy? Just because YOU and YOUR BOSS don't get anything, doesn't mean you have to ruin everyone else's day too.
Reply:Yes, you did something wrong. You de-personalized your personnel.
Reply:Obviously you don't have a significant other...if you did, you would not be so jacked-up about employees receiving tokens of affection from THEIR loved ones!
Chill out and stop being such a jack-***....and hope you don't encounter any of your co-workers in a dark alley.
Reply:Don't be mad because nobody sent you anything!! You sound sooo bitter, what a loser!
All your employees probably hate you now! You better watch your coffee buddy!
Reply:If someone sends one of your employees flowers it isn't their fault. They didn't order it. Just because you are sad that none of the flowers or candy are going to you doesn't mean you have to ruin it for everyone else. Grow up
Reply:Ha Ha very funny! I can't believe people on here are buying your B.S.
Reply:Dude------lighten up...............have a Bloody Mary and meet me at Spahrs tomorrow AM!!!!!!
Reply:You didn't get anything did you? and you wonder why
Reply:OMG you must be soul less! LOL
Reply:I don't believe that you did all that much wrong, although I can see the other side of the issue. If this is something that has gone on for years, then this noticed should have been sent out before now so that the employees would tell their friends and relatives not to send them to the work place. Had they known ahead of time, granted there still may have been a little backwash but at least the employees would have been prepared. Waiting until the day of valentine's day and get angry about it then is like closing the barn door after the horse gets out.
Reply:Man oh Man YOU are such a witch and that's saying it mildly !!! I am so glad there are not others like you...My husband has his own business, his secretary's work really hard all day sometimes don't even get lunches, not to mention the times they come in early to get extra things done!! They never call in sick unless there is a death in family . These girls are hard workers also got ALOT OF FLOWERS AND CANDY from contractors my husband deals with 24-7 and he got them candy and lunch !!! He has a big heart unlike YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

BUT I WILL POST IT IN HUSBANDS OFFICE TOMORROW!!!!!!

Reply:You are the kind of boss everyone hates! Be human, we spend the majority of our lives at work, working for creeps like you and if you can't understand that and have no people skills, you are doing your business no good. Lighten up, @sshole!
Reply:Wow... what a drag it must be to work for you and the company you work for!
You should keep in mind that a happy worker is a more productive worker. By preventing these things to occur (a couple of times a year) you are not only preventing some joy and excitement into a normally dreary work space but you are also making people there upset about the rules. You have taken an non-chearful work environment and made it twice as bad.
I suggest you reasses your poor attitude about social interactions (a workplace is a social environment after all) and recant this latest "prohibition mem". I bet that if you make the work place more enjoyable you will find not only will your employees be more productive but they will be willing to help the company succeed.
Don't forget... a company with no employees are just a bunch of desk, chairs and paper.... the employees are your most valuable asset. Aggravating your most valuable asset isn't a good thing.
Hope this helps!
Reply:Because that is lame. It's only one day out of the year. You and your boss probably don't have anyone special in your lives, so you want to make sure you can kill a joy wherever you can. That is ridiculous. You sound like a real loser to me.
Reply:You're horrible.....it's ONE day out of the year...come on!
Reply:no one should be getting anything personal delivered to them at work, BUT you cant just type up a letter banning deliveries and stick up THAT day. if it was such a issue with and your supervisor then you should have posted something last week...
Reply:whoaa sounds like someone's without a valentine today.
Reply:THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING YOU CAN DO. IS IT BECAUSE YOU'RE LACKING A VALENTINE THAT YOU'RE BITTER?
Reply:There's nothing wrong with that-you are the boss. If they give you too much smack, then tell the employees that it violates some sort of health code.
Reply:they could have easily had them deliverd to theri home
BET YOU DON"T POST THIS UP FOR EMPLOYEES
BUT I WILL POST IT IN HUSBANDS OFFICE TOMORROW!!!!!!

If the hospital allows flowers in their wards, try www.bunches.co.uk. Never had a problem with them delivering and they guarantee delivery next day if ordered by certain time day before.
Reply:wild flowers it will stimulate there youth.
Reply:Send a card for now, then when the patient gets out of hospital, have the flowers waiting for them at home as a home coming gift, you can order flowers on line with any local florist, as long as you have a credit card, also call a few as the cost varies and you might save some money, merry Christmas.

I had some delivered just this morning
Reply:Some hospitals don't accept flowers in the wards - I would check with the hospital first %26amp; this is possibly why interflora won't deliver.

Reply:Waitrose.com do the best quality flowers on the market. They may cost a little more but they last a lot longer.
Reply:try interflora http://www.interflora.co.uk/yahoosw/?utm...
you can even order online.
Reply:All hospitals are stopping flowers from being taken in next year to help prevent the spread of MRSA. I think delivery companies will be phasing it out. You could always go on to yell.com and see if you can find a florist near the hospital who will deliver.
Reply:I did have some flowers delivered to a hospital patient only a year ago... I don't know whether it was Interflora that did it or not, but I simply went to my local florist's and she arranged it for me. Hope this helps, good luck!
Reply:tescos online
Reply:A lot of hospital wards don't allow fresh flowers any more, because of germs or something, so you might find there isn't a company that will deliver there.
Reply:Marks and Spencer are by far the best for this. you can order online and they can deliver usually next day. Hope this helps! I know for a fact they deliver to Hospitals.
Reply:You will find that hospitals will not allow flowers (fresh) because of other patients on the ward. You can take flowers but they will put them in a room with other flowers what have been sent.
Reply:Hi - unfortunately most hospitals have now adopted a 'no flowers' policy, at least not on the wards. Uoud be best off checking with the hospital first, dont want to waste your money!
If its for someone that works in the admin team, or you get the OK, then the local Interflora will be able to help xx
Reply:You are better going into your local florist and ask them...i did and they were happy to deliver them for me, you will find them better value too than interflora or other large companies.
Reply:Hi my sister works for a flower shop in kenilworth and its part of interflora the hospitals dont allow flowers on the ward anymore so they dont deliver to the hospitals
